Why should I hire a licensed electrician instead of doing it myself?
+
While DIY projects can be rewarding, electrical work is best left to a professional for safety and legal reasons. A licensed electrician ensures the job is performed correctly and safely according to the latest National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. This not only protects your family and property from fire hazards — it also guarantees the work will pass any future inspections, protecting your home's value.
Do you offer any guarantees on your work?
+
Yes — we stand behind the quality of our work. We offer a 1-year written guarantee on all labor and parts supplied. If something isn't right, we'll make it right.
How much does an electrician cost in Sarasota, FL?
+
JEEC Electric charges $160 per hour for labor with a $95 trip charge. Larger projects such as panel upgrades, EV charger installations, and generator systems are quoted as complete fixed-price packages so you know the full cost upfront — no surprises. Call (941) 387-4652 for a no-cost estimate specific to your project.
Do you offer upfront pricing?
+
Yes. We believe in complete pricing transparency. Before any work begins, you'll receive a clear, itemized quote covering all labor, materials, and permit costs. We don't believe in surprise charges — what we quote is what you pay.
Do you require a deposit?
+
Deposit requirements vary by project size and scope. For smaller jobs, payment is typically due upon completion. For larger projects such as whole-home rewires or generator installations, we may require a partial deposit to cover materials. This will always be clearly outlined in your estimate.
What if you discover additional problems during the job?
+
If we discover hidden issues during a job, we stop, explain exactly what we found, walk you through your options, and provide a revised price before any additional work begins. We never perform extra work without your explicit approval — period.
Do you charge by the hour or by the job?
+
We provide flat-rate pricing for most residential work, so you know the total cost before we begin. No ticking clock, no surprises — just a clear price upfront and quality work delivered.
Licensing & Credentials
Is JEEC Electric licensed and insured in Florida?

Why should I hire a Master Electrician?
+
A Master Electrician holds the highest level of electrical licensure available — demonstrating expertise in electrical theory, system design, and code compliance. At JEEC Electric, the Master Electrician is personally on every job. This means your project is never handed off to an apprentice or subcontractor. It's the difference between a licensed professional and someone simply following instructions.
Are you a certified Generac and Kohler technician?
+
Yes. JEEC Electric is a Factory-Trained Generac and Kohler Technician. This means we've completed manufacturer-level training for both brands and can install, service, and repair Generac and Kohler standby generator systems to factory specifications — something not all electrical contractors can offer.
What is a SPAN Authorized Installer?
+
SPAN is a smart electrical panel that gives homeowners real-time control and monitoring of their home's energy usage. As a SPAN Authorized Installer, JEEC Electric is certified to install and commission SPAN panels — making us one of a select group of electricians in the Sarasota area qualified to offer this technology.
Do you pull permits for your work?
+
Yes — always. We pull all required permits with Sarasota County, Manatee County, and all relevant municipalities before any work begins. Every installation is permitted, inspected, and documented. This protects your home's value, satisfies your insurance carrier, and ensures the work is done to code.

Do you handle whole-home rewiring?
+
Yes. We perform full and partial residential rewires — including aluminum wiring remediation, knob-and-tube replacement, and complete rewires for older homes. Many older Sarasota and Manatee County homes have wiring that no longer meets insurance or code requirements. We provide all documentation needed to satisfy your insurance carrier after rewiring is complete.
Do you do pre-sale electrical inspections?
+
